Geddes-Brogan Family History

'We're all Jock Thamson's Bairns', is an expression that most Scots will be familiar with. Delving into my family's past has brought home to me the meaning of those words. As yet I have found no great historical figure in my ancestral ranks but I am immensely proud and honoured to be part of a grand family.

No family research would be complete or even possible without the input of relatives however remote. Their recollections of uncles, aunts, parents and grand parents, most of whom are no longer with us, is a precious glimpse of a way of life that we will never see again. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has provided information for this site and encourage others to pass on their own recollections.
